EY has just released its report "Insurtech: Enabler or disruptor? An assessment of the Australian insurtech ecosystem". It comments that the majority of insurtechs exist to enable incumbents to drive new customer experiences and deliver more value, by contributing to existing players and addressing the industry's challenges.
