InsuredHQ recently participated in the UAC-Xceedance 2024 Sydney Underwriting Expo, a significant event for our team. It was an excellent experience for us, and we had a blast!
Our adventure began even before the expo doors opened, with the Exhibitor Networking Drinks the night before and the Running_Insurance social run. These events allow us to meet others in our field without the usual formalities. Big thanks to Chris Quick for organizing the morning run, which was an excellent way to see Sydney and chat with peers in a different setting!
The UAC expos provide an opportunity to get a feel for what's happening in the Australian insurance market, and this year, the Sydney expo (the first of the year for UAC) was buzzing, with over 130 exhibitors showcasing their products and services. As a Trans-Tasman part of UAC as a Business Service member, we're proud to be in this mix, helping make insurance less complicated and more accessible. It was refreshing to meet new faces and catch up with old friends, sharing stories and challenges from our corners of the industry.
This was our second time at the UAC-Xceedance, and it's now a regular event in the InsuredHQ calendar. It's a great way for us to kick off the year, and we always make great connections, gain valuable insights, and continue to solidify our commitment and place in the Aussie insurance tech scene.
We highly recommend future UAC events (and the food) to any New Zealand insurtech companies looking to connect, collaborate, and make their mark in the dynamic Australian market.
